Family Photo Walk

Our self portrait.  Looks like we are really tall!

Last Saturday at 7 am, my family rose and started the first annual Family Photo Walk.  It was so much fun!

It was inspired by Mike’s and Andrew’s love of photography, our need for exercise, and the Sulphur Springs Annual photo walk hosted by Cindy Roller and Jon Lance.  Yes, we did get a few looks from the neighbors, but as long as we stayed on public property, we were good.

We made a little friend while we were out. We tried to get him to go home with us, but he had places to go. Photo by Andrew.

We walked around Lake Cypress, but a historic downtown (like Sulphur Springs’ annual contest), park, nature preserve, or zoo would make for interesting photos.  Our goal was to capture unique shots, change our perspective, and see what the area offered visually.

Our plan had been to get another family member to judge or ask a professional photographer to judge, but we had so much fun that it really didn’t matter to us who won…we decided we all won!

The boys didn’t take as many shots as me.  I am not that great of a photographer, as you may have noticed in my posts, but I do find photography to be interesting.  Maybe I will take a Craftsy or Great Courses class to learn more.

I hope you enjoy these photos and get inspired to have your own family photo walk!
