There is nothing more that can be said about the life and death of Diana, Princess of Wales.  Born as Diana Frances Spencer, Lady Diana married Charles, Prince of Wales on July 29, 1981, which is what made her a public figure.

Though Diana was no doubt a fashion icon, she was an avid volunteer and made lasting impressions on the world due to the causes for which she served as a patron.  Walking through fields dotted with land mines created awareness of a dire situation.  Shaking hands with AIDS patients, while not wearing gloves, helped to clear up misconceptions of the time. In these examples, Diana used her power as the most photographed woman in the world to shed light on projects dear to her.

What her life would have offered the world if she had lived is unknown, but she undoubtedly would have continued being a loving mother and now grandmother.

In Diana’s brief 36 years on earth, she made a lasting impression on so many people. That is the best tribute of all.

Sadly, not all princesses get a fairytale ending.
