Who is this lovely lady?
You can probably tell that I love my hometown. It has the nicest people, the coolest sense of community, and the most beautiful sights to see.
I have been collecting memorabilia about my town for a year or two. I have gathered all sorts of interesting finds. One such artifact is a photo of a smiling young lady as she stands next to the base of a pillar for Sulphur Springs State Bank.
The bank was a gorgeous, Greek Revival-style building on the north side of the square. Although is was designed by the famous architect, J. Riely Gordon, somewhere along the way, the structure was razed. I think it is quite a treat to possess this photo, but I sure would like to know the name of this lady. Did she work at the bank, or was she just enjoying a day on the square?
Please help me identify this lady. Maybe she is a relative…or childhood friend. If you know who she is, please let me know. In the meantime, enjoy this snapshot in time.
