Don’t you always feel like you are short on time this time of year?  I certainly do.  So I look for even more shortcuts in the kitchen, but I do want to have some holiday fun.

I LOVE serving a pasta dish and replacing rigatoni or spaghetti for creative holiday designs.  I found this brand at World Market in Dallas, but I did notice there are several brands and designs available on Amazon.com.  I have not seen them in the local Walmart or Brookshires, but they might have them in one of the specialty kitchen stores in town.  I paid $2.99 for this package.  I noticed the prices online were much more expensive, so you may want to do some comparison shopping.

These are fun for adults, but kids enjoy them even more!  Use your favorite pasta receive, substituting the pasta called for in the recipe for the pasta shapes.

Of course there are all sorts of shapes for holidays throughout the year, but wintertime and Christmastime are great times to do something special for your family and friends.  Happy cooking!
