Today is the Autumnal Equinox, which also means it is the first day of Fall.
An Equinox is when the day light and night are of equal length. The word Equinox is Latin meaning equal night. If viewing the sun from the equator, the sun would rise due East and set due West
Many cultures feel that there are special powers associated with the Equinox. Rituals and gatherings have long been an associated tradition.
Of course so many of us love fall and all that it brings with it such as pumpkin spices, cooler days, football and falling leaves. So from my southern home to yours…Happy Fall, Y’all!
