Living an hour and a half away from Market Street and Central Market presents a problem for a foodie.  Thankfully, my local Brookshires and Walmart are rising to the occasion.

It wasn’t long ago that I only saw Kitchen Bouquet’s Browning and Seasoning Sauce in the Metroplex.  Now, I see it happily at home at my local stores.

If you haven’t tried it before, you might want to pick up a bottle.  It is great to use in gravy and as a wet rub on beef and pork.  I like it on chicken!

To make an easy baked chicken using Browning and Seasoning Sauce, here is what you need:

4 chicken breasts  (I like to use the individually wrapped pouches by Harvestland)
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Kitchen Bouquet’s Browning and Seasoning Sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.  On a sheet pan lined with a Silpat or baking mat, pour the olive oil and Browning and Seasoning Sauce.  Rub each chicken breast in the oil and sauce making sure to cover both sides.  Lightly dust with salt and pepper (the sauce has salt in it already, so go lightly).

Bake for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.

You will end up with moist chicken breasts that are more flavorful than plain chicken breasts.  The sauce has only 15 calories for a teaspoon, so divided by four, it doesn’t add many calories.  The sauce adds a really nice color to the chicken.
