If you live in North East Texas, Western Arkansas or Southern Oklahoma, have I got a deal for you! Please join my town for the most amazing weekend, December 2-4, 2016. There literally is something for everyone.

Mark your calendar, buy your tickets, reserve your hotel, and get ready for a wonderful kick-off to the Christmas holiday. There are activities for all ages. You can eat, shop and enjoy the Christmas festivities.

Every Christmas is big in Sulphur Springs, but this year is even bigger. For the first time in Hopkins County history, the arts organizations have banded together to put on The Christmas Carol: A Musical. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon.

If you are from out-of-town, here is what I would recommend your weekend plans include:

Watch the Lions Club’s Christmas Parade.
If you have young ones with you, there are ice slides and all sorts of vendors and festivities happening on Celebration Plaza.
Have your photo made in front of the Christmas Castle or the Christmas tree.
Grab dessert (cupcakes or popcorn or both!)
Ride the free trolley back to the hotel.
