Not long from now we will celebrate our moms, whether they are with us, far from us, or deceased. What they all have in common is that they gave life to another human.
With so many celebratory days in the year, wouldn’t it be best if we didn’t save all the praises, toasts, and appreciation for just one day? Why not make a point to thank our moms all year long!
However, we do want to do something extra special for our moms on Mother’s Day. Be it a lunch out after church or a large family meal for dinner, what a great way to spend time with our moms. Our maybe a Mother’s Day tea would make for an enjoyable afternoon. This might be easy to get together and fun for several generations to share.
If your mom lives too far away to be with her on this day, be sure your thoughtful expression, be it flowers, gift and/or a card, tells your mom just how much she means to you. Love from a child never grows old!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and people who have served in a mother’s role.
